She said 'What?' and I told her that I didn't know.

Yes. It has been a long while since my last post but this time I have a good excuse. I am moving, except that "moving" is the wrong term. 'Moving' implies taking stuff from one location to another and what I am doing is divorcing myself from my stuff, sending it off into the homes and lives of strangers, thrift shops, college libraries and friends, then packing up four large suitcases (plus various small boxes for shipping) and putting myself on a plane to Canada in fourteen days. In the meantime, we are trying to find a place to live, sending out student loan applications, trying to get Matt a job, organize a trip to Vegas to meet with one of my best friends and her kids. Oh, and did mention I hate stress?
In honor of my inability to linger over anything pleasurable at the moment, I will finish this post with a clip staring my favorite leader of the free world. Ahem.

When was my last post exactly?

I made the grave, drunken error of showing my mother-in-law this blog. (Hyphens! I hate hyphens. As far as I am concerned, any word that must be hyphenated is to be suspect.) Not that she'll ever find it again, but it is sort of like letting your sort-of friend know your secret crushes--you're never again secure that the hidden is hidden. So, in order to maintain this blog, I will alight myself in the ignorant fallacy that she is not privy to what I write herein.
So, what to blog? I gave my month notice at work this week. Yes, a month. I am a wimpy dork that allows my employer ample time to find my replacement. Is it because I think two weeks might point to the fact that I've been planning my escape all along or do I think myself so irreplacable that the usual two weeks won't do? You decide.
In other news, my hubby and I are frantically driving home from long days at work at 5 pm to: fill out student loan applications, field offers for our for-sale furniture, frantically try to find interest for our for-sale furniture, clean the house, do laundry, feed ourselves, climb exhasted into bed to do it all again tomorrow.
Did I mention this weekend is our one year anniversary? Yes! An entire year has past since that memorable 'Teargas and Tequila' episode and we are headed to the Ritz (classy!) in Orlando to celebrate a whole 365 days of conjugals. As appropriate for our paper anniversary, we booked tickets (paper, get it?) to Cirque du Soleil's La Nouba event. (As a moderate French-speaker, I am quite certain 'La Nouba' is a made up word that just sounds cool. Am I wrong??
