18 months.
I have recently been called to the Bar and work as a junior associate at a downtown litigation boutique. Life has never been easy but, thanks to the people in my life and the opportunities I've grabbed for, it sure has been interesting.

Short Update
I am taking a break from taking a break from this blog! This morning, after sending off my Monster & my little sister (who is staying with us as she takes an insurance course), I worked on a project all morning and then took the rest of the day off. Right now, I am laying in bed, watching 'What Not to Wear' and enjoying being lazy.
Being so close to the end of law school, I am starting to look at my remaining time in a very macro way. As in, these next few weeks are just a short moment in time & what happens within them doesn't make all that much of a difference. I have a job lined up, I have done pretty well in school so far and I'm relatively happy with where I am in my life. I think this is the closest I have ever come to being happy-go-lucky.

Break Time?
I think I might take a break from this blog for a few weeks. When I began blogging, I tried never to go more than a week between posts & I wanted my posts to be mostly substantive. But, for some reason, this last semester of law school has kicked my a** more than usual & I am behind on a lot of schoolwork and other projects. Rather than worry about the content of my blog on top of all of that, I might just take a break for a bit.
Or, I might get my act together & begin posting regularly again.
A fellow third year student reminded me today that I hand over my elected responsibilities in a few weeks. I haven't really thought about what that will feel like. Since the second semester of my first year of law school, I have been chair of this, that or the other. On top of community projects. And, even more mindblowing, in two months I will be finished school. What will that feel like? What will I do with my time? I would like to attend more pilates classes, take some boot camp classes & maybe join a rowing club. I could read, shop at Granville Island for yummy dinner ingredients and write on my blog.
However, I've noticed I am always more productive when I have a lot of things to do than when I have very few. Hopefully, I can be disciplined enough to use my time off wisely. Starting in June, its Bar classes for me & then I start work at my firm in August. I guess I should figure out how to do legal research during my time off (no, I am not joking. They do not teach us the basics of factum writing at law school.)

Busy Like A Bee
Monster has been sick this past week & I've been dutifully taking my vitamins & supplements to keep the sickness at bay, but I am finally succumbing to it. I also have some nominations to turn in, a school election to run, a paper to write & various other side projects going on. Did I mention how stressed I am?
