Monster brought me roses to celebrate the end of school.
Yesterday, instead of putting on my usual uniform of a tee shirt, cords & a cardigan, I put on a dress & a cardigan. And this morning, I wore a tee shirt with a skirt & cardigan. Tee shirts and cardigans aside, I don't want to dress like a student anymore and part of being a student, to me, is wearing pants. I love not wearing pants but rather reaching into the back of my closet for a tailored dress or pencil skirt. Even though my days as a non-student are not that different from my student life (take the bus places, run errands), it makes me feel pulled together when I wear a dress or skirt. Like I am living my best life.
And I am! How else can you describe walking around town with a yoga mat ('cause I just signed up for weekday pilates classes) while shopping for organic veggies at Granville farmer's market? How else can you describe living in this gorgeous city? I am living the life I've always wanted!
Tonight, I am meeting a law school friend (she finished her last exam today!) at C Restaurant (a gorgeous seafood restaurant on the ocean) and tomorrow I am making homemade babaganoush. I live right next to a huge downtown library & I can read to my heart's content. Live is wonderful!
